Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) & Shasun Shakthi Cell of Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women, T.Nagar organised SHA- KALAUTSAV 2023 Shilpa Lekha (A Biblio Art Festival)
The Guests of Honour were Kalaimamani Smt. Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala, Artistic Director, Kalapradarshini and Poet Ilango Krishnan, Lyricist of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ fame.

The event started with the prayer and lighting of the lamp. Our Principal Dr. Padmavathi.S welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief guests. Smt. Usha Abhaya Srisrimal, Secretary delivered the Presidential Address and presented paintings to the Chief Guests as tokens of gratitude. Kalaimamani Smt. Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala commended Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women for promoting art and providing opportunity for students to become a better professional and also a better human. Poet Ilango Krishnan emphasized on pursuing Art as a career and also added that perseverance is an important quality that needs to be gained by an artist as the field of Art does not give instant recognition.

Dr. M. Rani, Director of Shakthi Cell, Head, Department of Tamil presented the Shasun Shakthi Cell Annual Report. Dr. Rajshree Vasudevan, Director, Centre of Excellence – Art & Culture presented the report of activities conducted by Centre of Excellence – Art & Culture. This was followed by a series of cultural performances. Ms. Prerna was awarded the title Ms. Sakthi 2023. The program ended with a formal vote of thanks and National Anthem.

ஸ்ரீ ஷங்கர்லால் சுந்தர்பாய் ஷசுன் ஜெயின் மகளிர் கல்லூரியும் அகத்தர மதிப்பீட்டுக் குழுவும் இணைந்து தேனாம்பேட்டை நாரதகான சபாவில் 15 ஆம் ஆண்டு ‘ஷா-கலா உட்சவ் -2023’ கலைநிகழ்ச்சி  சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது.
இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில்  கலை இயக்குநர், கலாபிரதர்ஷினி கலைமாமணி  திருமதி பார்வதி ரவி கண்டசாலா அவர்களும் பொன்னியின் செல்வன் திரைப்படப் பாடலாசிரியர் கவிஞர் இளங்கோ கிருஷ்ணன் அவர்களும்  சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாகக் கலந்து கொண்டனர். இவ்விழாவில் கல்லூரியின் செயலர்  ஸ்ரீமதி உஷா அபய ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீமால், இணைச்செயலர் முனைவர் ஹரீஷ் எல் மேத்தா, கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் சா.பத்மாவதி ஆகியோர் முன்னிலை வகித்து வாழ்த்துரை வழங்கினார்கள்.

சிறப்பு விருந்தினர் திருமதி பார்வதி ரவி கண்டசாலா அவர்கள் உரையாற்றுகையில் மாணவர்கள் மத்தியில் இக்கலைநிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொள்வது பெருமையாக உள்ளது என்றும் தனது பள்ளிப் பருவமும் கல்லூரிப் பருவமும் நினைவிற்கு வருவதாகவும் கூறி தனது மகிழ்ச்சியைப் பகிர்ந்ததோடு மாணவர்கள் கலையில் கவனம் செலுத்துவது அவர்களின் மனத்திற்கும் எண்ணத்திற்கும் ஆரோக்கியாமானது என்றும் கூறினார்.  மேலும் கலை ஒரு சிறந்த எதிர்காலத்தை உருவாக்குகிறது. அக்கலையை  ஒரு வேலையாகக் கருதாமல் கலைக்காக நம்மை அர்ப்பணிக்கும் சிறந்த குணமுடையவராக நாம் இருத்தல் வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறினார்.

அடுத்ததாக, பொன்னியின் செல்வன் திரைப்படப் பாடலாசிரியர் கவிஞர் இளங்கோ கிருஷ்ணன் அவர்கள் தனது உரையில் மாணவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள் இருக்கும் திறமைகளைக் கண்டறிந்து, கலை ஆர்வம் இருந்தால் அதை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றார். அக்கலையை எதிர் காற்றில் கிடைத்த ஒரு நெருப்பு துளியைப் பொத்தி வளர்ப்பதைப் போல வளர்க்க வேண்டும் என்று மாணவர்களுக்கு உற்சாக உரையை வழங்கினார்.  சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களின் உரையினைத் தொடர்ந்து சக்தி செல் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் ராணி மனோகரன், 2022- 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான சக்தி மையத்தின் ஆண்டு அறிக்கையை வழங்கினார். கலை மற்றும் கலாச்சார சிறப்பு மையத்தின் இயக்குநர் முனைவர் ராஜ்ஸ்ரீ வாசுதேவன் அவர்கள் அம்மையத்தின் ஆண்டறிக்கையை வழங்கினார்.தொடக்க விழாவினைத் தொடர்ந்து கலைகளின் வழிக் கல்வி என்ற பொருண்மையை உள்ளடக்கி பல்வேறு நூல்களை மையமாகக் கொண்ட நடனம் பாட்டு, நாடகம் எனச் சக்தி மையத்தின் 16 கலைகளும் மேடையில் அரங்கேற்றபட்டன. கலைநிகழ்ச்சிகளின் நிறைவில் ஷசுன் சக்தி மையம் மாணவி ப்ரேர்னாவிற்கு “மிஸ் சக்தி” என்ற பட்டத்தினை வழங்கியது. இறுதியாக ஷசுன் சக்தி மையத்தின் மாணவத் தலைமைச் செயலர் செல்வி சுவர்ணலாதா நன்றி நவில நாட்டுப்பண்ணுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி இனிதே நிறைவடைந்தது.
