இளம் திறமையாளர்களை வளர்ப்பதில் முன்னோடியாகத் திகழும் வேலம்மாள் நெக்ஸஸ் பள்ளியில் உலக அளவில் செஸ் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டிகளில் வியத்தகு சாதனைகள் படைத்த பள்ளி மாணவர்களை கவுரவிக்கும் வகையில் மாபெரும் பாராட்டு விழா நடைபெற்றது. வேலம்மாள் நெக்ஸஸ் பள்ளிகளின் முதன்மை பள்ளி வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த கண்கவர் பாராட்டு விழா நிகழ்ச்சியில், உலக செஸ் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் 2-வது இடம் பிடித்த பிரக்ஞானந்தா ரமேஷ்பாபு, உலக அளவில் 8-வது நிலை வீரரும், இந்தியாவின் நம்பர் 1 செஸ் விளையாட்டு வீரருமான குகேஷ், ஆசியாவின் 2–வது இடம் பிடித்த டென்னிஸ் வீராங்கனை ஹரிதா ஸ்ரீ, உலக பள்ளி செஸ் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் தங்கம் மற்றும் வெண்கலப் பதக்கம் வென்ற வீரர்கள் மற்றும் செஸ் பயிற்சியாளர் வேலவன் ஆகியோரது  சிறப்பான செயல்பாடுகளை பாராட்டி பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

சிறப்பு வாய்ந்த இந்த நிகழ்வில் மாண்புமிகு விளையாட்டு மற்றும் இளைஞர் நலத்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு. உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின்,  மாண்புமிகு இந்து சமய மற்றும் அறநிலையத்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு.பி.கே. சேகர் பாபு, பத்மவிபூஷன் விருதாளரும், புகழ்பெற்ற செஸ் வீரருமான விஸ்வநாதன் ஆனந்த் ஆகியோர் சிறப்பு அழைப்பாளர்களாக பங்கேற்று மாணவர்களுக்கு பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தனர். வேலம்மாள் கல்விக் குழுமத்தின் தாளாளர் திரு. எம்.வி.எம்.வேல் மோகன் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு தலைமை வகித்தார்.

நிகழ்ச்சியின் தொடக்கத்தில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்கள், செஸ் சாம்பியன்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களது குடும்பத்தினருக்கு சிறப்பான வரவேற்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டது. பெருமிதம் சூழ்ந்த இந்த நிகழ்வில் வேலம்மாள் நெக்ஸஸ் நிர்வாகம் சார்பில் சர்வதேச அளவில் சாதனை படைத்த செஸ் சாம்பியன்களுக்கு ரூ.60 லட்சம் பரிசுத்தொகையினை அமைச்சர் திரு. உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் வழங்கி கௌரவித்தார்.

பாராட்டு விழா கொண்டாட்டத்திற்கு வருகை புரிந்த முக்கியப் பிரமுகர்கள், செஸ் சாம்பியன்கள் மற்றும் இளம் திறமையாளர்களை வளர்ப்பதில் தொடர்ந்து உறுதுணையாக இருக்கும் வேலம்மாள் குடும்பத்தினர் அனைவருக்கும் தாளாளர் எம்.வி.எம். வேல்மோகன் தனது நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்தார். மேலும் அவர் கூறுகையில், வேலம்மாள் நெக்ஸஸ் இளம் திறமையாளர்களை அடையாளம் கண்டு அவர்களை சாதனையாளர்களாக உயர்த்துகிறது என்பதை மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை உறுதி செய்திருக்கிறது. எதிர்காலத்தில் இன்னும் பல மாணவர்கள் மிகப்பெரிய அளவில் சாதனைகள் படைக்க காத்திருக்கின்றனர் இவ்வாறு கூறினார்.

VELAMMAL CELEBRATES CHESS EXCELLENCE WITH GRAND FELICITATION CEREMONY*

Chennai, September 11, 2023 – Velammal Nexus, a pioneer in nurturing young talents, hosted a spectacular felicitation ceremony at the Velammal Main Campus to honor the remarkable achievements of their chess prodigies. The event recognized the stellar performances of their students, World Chess Championship Runner-up Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, World No. 8 and India’s No. 1 chess player D. Gukesh, the Gold and Bronze medalists of the World School Chess Championship, Asia’s No.2 Tennis Player Haritha Sree and Chess Coach Velavan. This momentous occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Thiru. P.K. Sekar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, and the legendary Padma Vibhushan Viswanathan Anand. The event was presided over by the Correspondent of Velammal Educational Trust, M.V.M. Velmohan.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome extended to the guests, the chess champions, and their families. It was a jubilant atmosphere filled with pride and anticipation.  The Chess Champions were felicitated with a cash prize of 60 Lakhs from the Management of Velammal Nexus by Hon’ble Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Thiru.
