சமீபத்தில் தேசிய விருது பெற்ற ஶ்ரீகாந்த் தேவா இசையமைத்துள்ள இந்த உற்சாகமிக்க பாடலை அவரது தந்தையும் பிரபல இசையமைப்பாளருமான தேவா தனது காந்த குரலில், பிரத்யேக ஸ்டைலில் பாடியுள்ளார்.

‘முத்து முத்து கருவாயா’, ‘தாகம்தீர வானே இடிந்ததம்மா,’ ‘சண்டாளனே’, ‘கண்ணத்தொறந்ததும் சாமி’ ஆகியவை அஸ்மின் எழுதிய குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பாடல்களாகும். மேலும், சமீபத்தில் இலங்கையில் இருந்த வெளியாகி உலகெங்கும் டிரெண்ட் ஆன ‘ஐயோ சாமி நீ எனக்கு வேணாம்… பொய் பொய்யாய் சொல்லி ஏமாத்தினது போதும்’ பாடலும் இவர் எழுதியது தான். உலகம் முழுவதும் அனைத்து தளங்களிலும் ஆறு கோடிப்பேர் இந்தப் பாடலை பார்த்து ரசித்துள்ளனர். இலங்கை நாடாளுமன்றத்திலும், மலேசியா தேர்தலிலும் கூட இந்தப் பாடல் ஒலித்திருக்கிறது.

தமிழ் சினிமாவில் 25க்கும் மேற்பட்ட படங்களுக்கு இதுவரை பாடல்கள் எழுதியுள்ள அஸ்மின், இலங்கையிலும் தமிழகத்திலும்
‘மோஸ்ட் வான்டட்’ பாடலாசிரியராக கவனம் ஈர்த்திருக்கிறார்.

‘முத்து முத்து கருவாயா’ மூலம் ஏற்கனவே வெற்றிப் பாடலைக் கொடுத்துள்ள ஸ்ரீகாந்த் தேவா-அஸ்மின் கூட்டணியில் உருவாகியுள்ள புதிய பாடல் இசை ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் பெரும் எதிர்பார்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.

இது குறித்து பேசிய கவிஞர் பொத்துவில் அஸ்மின், “தேவா அவர்களின் குரலில் அமைந்த ஹிட் பாடல்கள் வரிசையில் இந்தப் பாடலும் இடம் பிடிக்க தயாராகி வருகிறது. பாடல் தலைப்பையும் புரோமோவையும் மிக விரைவில் வெளியிடுவதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகள் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன,” என்று கூறினார்.

*Music composer Deva sings an energetic album penned by Sri Lankan poet Pottuvil Asmin and composed by National Award-winning Srikanth Deva*

Sri Lankan poet Pottuvil Asmin, who has won a place in the hearts of Tamils across the world through his independent albums and Tamil film songs, has teamed up with veteran music director ‘Thenisai Thendral’ Deva and National award-winning composer Srikanth Deva for his next album.

Produced by London-based entrepreneur and social worker DR. Mala Kumar under his label Mala Kumar Padaippagam, this song will be released soon.

Composed by Srikanth Deva, this soulful and energetic number is sung by his father and renowned composer Deva in his captivating voice and unique style.

Asmin made his debut in Tamil cinema with the song ‘Thappellam Thappe Illai’ in Vijay Antony’s ‘Naan’. The promo songs penned by Asmin for films including Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ and Ajith Kumar’s ‘Viswasam’ received huge reception from fans, it may be recalled.

‘Muthu Muthu Karuvaya’, ‘Thaagamtheera Vaane Idindhathamma’, ‘Sandalane’, ‘Kannathorandhadhum Sami’ are among the notable songs written by Asmin. Also, he was the one who penned the viral hit ‘Ayyo Saami Nee Enakku Venaam, Poi Poiyya Solli Emathunadhu Podhum’. Released from Sri Lanka, the song became a trend all over the world and six crore people have watched and enjoyed it on all platforms globally. The song was also heard in the Sri Lankan Parliament and Malaysian elections.

Asmin has written lyrics for songs in more than 25 films in Tamil cinema, becoming the ‘Most Wanted’ lyricist in Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu.

The coming together of Srikanth Deva and Asmin duo, who already delivered a hit song with ‘Muthu Muthu Karuvaya’, has created a lot of expectations among music lovers.

Commenting on the new album, Pottuvil Asmin said, “This song will sure find a place in the list of hit numbers sung by Deva sir. Work is on to release the song’s title and promo very soon.”
